Dear workers, veterans of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, dear Almalyk residents!

With all my heart, I congratulate you on the greatest and most precious holiday for all citizens of our country - the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The large-scale reforms carried out in our country during the years of independence have become an important basis for strengthening national statehood and sovereignty, as well as ensuring the inviolability of borders.

Over the years of independence, especially recently, in Uzbekistan, under the leadership of the head of state, important and very necessary work has been done to ensure peace and tranquillity, religious tolerance and interethnic harmony, the rule of law, human rights, freedoms and interests. Moreover, in many ways, it was sovereignty that made it possible to implement major investment projects currently being implemented at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

The difficult geopolitical situation developing in the world is becoming a challenge for many countries. However, this did not become an obstacle for AMMC in continuing work on the mega-project, the scale of which is recognized by leading companies in Europe and Asia.

We recently took part in a business forum in China. The projects being implemented at AMMC were of great interest to Chinese companies. We once again confirmed our status as an enterprise with significant potential and reliability in partnership. This served as an invitation to AMMC for cooperation by companies from China and their desire to invest in our projects.

Foreign guests note the promising and large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at positive changes in the lives of all our people, express confidence that the country is on the path of progress and prosperity in the political, socio-economic and other spheres.

A clear example of high growth rates in industry can be the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. In 2017, copper production volume was 120 thousand tons per year. Today, this figure has reached 148.5 thousand tons. On the instructions of the head of state, this year we aim to increase this figure to 170 thousand tons. Successful implementation of the mega-project will increase the production capacity of our enterprise several times. Moreover, this, in turn, will expand the possibilities for the production of value-added products.

Our members work stably and regularly achieve all the tasks set. Over the eight months of this year, we have achieved almost all production targets. In addition, the success of the enterprise is noted by the country's leadership. On Independence Day, for worthy and conscientious work, by decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the honorary title "Uzbekistan Respublikasida khizmat kursatgan sanoat khodimi" was awarded to Akhrar Narmatovich Abdirashidov - a foreman of the Industrial Railway Transport Department, the order "Mehnat shukhrati" was awarded to Abdumavlyan Abdukarimovich Rakhmanov -  bulldozer operator of the Technological Transport Department. These awards are recognition of the work of the entire multi-thousand team of the plant.

On the eve of the significant date, a number of production and social facilities are being commissioned. In particular, this year, the launch of the second stage of the Ingichkin Concentration Plant, located in the Samarkand region, the opening of the digital transformer substation TP-8, which will supply electricity to the equipment of the cyclic-flow technology and the mining complex of the Yoshlik I quarry, are scheduled. The commissioning of these facilities will create hundreds of new jobs.

AMMC is also actively involved in supporting the social sphere.

On the eve of Independence Day, a kindergarten for 80 children and a two-story residential building with 14 two-room apartments were commissioned in the Akkurgan district, the keys to which have already been handed over to their owners - people who have lost their breadwinner and need social protection. In addition, major repairs are being completed in "Darecha" kindergarten No. 12 of the Management of social workers.

All reforms carried out in the country, initiated by the President and the Government of the country, are enthusiastically received by the people of Uzbekistan and serve their unity in achieving the intended noble goals. This is reflected in the motto under which all festive events are held this year: "Only united - we are one people, only together - we are a strong country!"

I sincerely congratulate all workers of AMMC, veterans of production, Almalyk residents who selflessly worked and work to achieve noble goals for the further development and formation of our Motherland, on the main holiday of our state! Health, good luck, prosperity and happiness, peace and tranquillity to all of you and your family members!
