05 April 2026, 10:44 177

Dear geologists of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, dear industry veterans!

I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday – Geology Workers' Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan!

Thanks to the attention and support of our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the new promising deposits are being discovered in Uzbekistan today. In his recent congratulatory address, the head of state noted that more than 1,900 new deposits were discovered between 2016 and 2025.

This is clear evidence that the attention to the industry is bearing fruit. The commissioning of Copper Processing Plant No. 3 is also the result of your dedicated work.

Due to the persistent work of geologists, the deposits of minerals, rare metals, building materials, and groundwater have been discovered. Your work has strengthened the country's economic foundation and contributed to Uzbekistan's transformation into one of the richest countries in natural resources and a leading player in the mining industry.

Today, we honor those who have chosen the decent profession of geology, whose work ensures the utilization of vast natural resources for the benefit of the people and shapes our country's strategic mineral resource base for decades to come.

Since 2020, the Complex geologists have been conducting the large-scale works at the “Sary-Cheku” copper-porphyry ore deposit. Additional exploration work has revealed the possibility of extending the quarry's lifespan by another 20 years.

From 2016 to 2022, the exploration was conducted at the new “Kuyi-Kenzhasoy” gold deposit, which will provide production for more than 10 years. The field development works began in 2025, and commercial gold ore production is planned for 2027-2028. Geologists are continuing additional exploration work at adjacent sites.

In this regard, a new gold extraction plant "Kauldy" is being built. It will process up to 200,000 tons of raw material per year, extracting precious metals from it.

In 2022, work began to estimate the gold ore reserves of the “Chakmoktosh” deposit in the Chatkal-Kurama Range, near the Kamchik Pass. According to preliminary data, its reserves will provide more than 10 years of production.

In 2021, the new polymetallic ore deposit "Chinorsoy" was discovered in Khandiza, with the estimated production life of approximately 40 years. The works are underway to increase reserves and develop a feasibility study for joint operation with the existing Khandiza deposit.

As a result of performed geological exploration, the reserves of gold, copper, silver, lead, and zinc have been significantly increased, and new promising areas for development have been identified.

Bringing these deposits into industrial development will have a positive impact on the development of our country and further economic growth, creating new jobs for our people.

Modern digital technologies, geographic information systems and software greatly assist your work, allowing you to perform calculations faster and more accurately, estimate reserves, and improve the efficiency of mineral extraction monitoring.

Overall, our Complex geologists are successfully implementing the numerous promising projects in the field of geological exploration. Given the relevance of implementing modern geographic information technologies, the Complex places great emphasis on improving the qualifications and training of specialists in this field, and extensive work is underway in this area. To support scientific research, the Complex closely collaborates with the University of Geological Sciences.

I am confident that your work and professionalism will continue to contribute to the development of the national economy, strengthening industrial production, and improving the quality of life.

Once again, I congratulate you on your professional holiday! I wish all representatives of the geology field good health, happiness, continued success, and family well-being!
