Dear power engineers of the plant, dear colleagues!
On the day of winter equinox - December 22, in many countries of the world, including Uzbekistan, the professional holiday of all workers of energy industry, which covers generation, transmission and sale of electric and thermal energy to consumers, specialists, without whom it is impossible to imagine our life today, is celebrated - Day of Power Engineers.
With all my heart I congratulate you on this holiday!
The energy sector is one of the basic branches of the economy, on the stable and efficient functioning of which depend the well-being and peace of mind in our homes and at work. We all felt it in January last year, when the country experienced an energy collapse. But the specialists overcame it, proving once again that the work of a power engineer requires the highest professionalism, responsibility and discipline.
Your work is extremely important, and the value of people who bear a huge responsibility for the energy safety of facilities is incredibly high. After all, providing the population, as well as enterprises and organizations, social sphere with vital electric and heat energy is one of the most urgent and priority tasks. Especially today, in the rapidly developing times, the representatives of the energy sector are required to be even more responsible and to deliver concrete results in terms of energy saving and transition to green energy.
Green energy is one of the most urgent tasks of the present time. Fruitful work is carried out at the combine in this direction. Thus, photovoltaic stations have been put into operation in structural subdivisions of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, in particular, in the executive office with the capacity of 350 kW, in the department of electric networks - with the capacity of 250 kW, in the medical and sanitary unit of AMMC - with the capacity of 150 kW.
For 11 months of 2023, these power plants produced 593,140 kWh of electricity that was directed to the needs of the mill, which allowed these units to save 593 million soums.
In the near future, it is planned to implement a project on construction of a photovoltaic station with a design capacity of 100 MW and its integration into the 110 kV distribution network, which will allow the divisions to consume green energy.
The contribution of energy sector employees in the investment projects implemented at AMMC in these years is also invaluable. In particular, the first digital substation of 500/110/10 kV voltage class in Uzbekistan has been built at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex to supply power to copper concentrator-3, which is being constructed within the framework of the investment project for the development of the Yoshlik I deposit, as well as to the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik open pits.
The stable operation of the first and the only digital substation in Central Asia, equipped with all advanced technological equipment, will be ensured by our power engineers, professionals and specialists with extensive experience.
I can confidently say that we can be truly proud of the power engineers of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, who, despite various emergencies and unfavorable weather conditions, perfectly perform their professional duty.
Thanks to the high professionalism and selfless labor of our specialists, uninterrupted supply of electricity and heat to the structural subdivisions of the plant and to the homes of Almalyk residents is ensured.
Taking this opportunity, on behalf of all residents of Almalyk and thousands of employees of the plant I would like to thank you for your responsible and honorable work, for your conscientiousness and dedication.
From the bottom of my heart, sincerely and with deep respect I wish you good health, family prosperity, endless vitality and great professional success!

Chairman of the Board of JSC AMMC,
