The nationwide project "Green Space" is not an event of one year. And if today we show love and attention to nature, maintaining order where we live, then the next generation will also live in suitable environmental conditions. To do this, we need to protect land and water resources, the ecological system, complex trees and create gardens!

Today, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is an active participant in the national environmental projects "Yashil Makon" and "Green Belt".

In pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 42 dated March 11, 2023, within the framework of the national project "Yashil Makon", implemented on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a lot of work was carried out at JSC "Almalyk MMC" during 2023-2024.

On an area of 243 hectares, 1 million 536 thousand seedlings of various types of trees were complexed. It should be noted that the Yashil Makon project is being implemented today at all the complex's facilities located throughout the republic.

All agrotechnical work carried out within the framework of the national project "Yashil Makon" is carried out in compliance with the scientific and practical recommendations of specialists of the Forestry Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In order to timely carry out the necessary agrotechnical measures, preserve and care for seedlings, on the recommendation of the heads of the structural divisions of the complex, contracts are concluded with workers caring for the complexings.

As part of the implementation of the national project "Yashil Makon" in 2025, the workforce of JSC "Almalyk MMC" is faced with the task of complexing 370 thousand tree seedlings. To date, more than 100 thousand trees of various species have already been complexed.

Supporting the initiative "Four seedlings from each employee of the AMMC", the complex's workers hold challenges "I will create a garden with my family!", "For the improvement of the mahalla!", "In the name of the green future of our complex!".

"Green belt"

The project to create a "green belt" is being implemented no less fruitfully at the complex, the main goal of which is to reduce the impact of industrial enterprises on the atmosphere and accelerate landscaping work. Thus, during 2023-2024, employees of the structural divisions of the AMMC complexed 955 thousand seedlings of trees and shrubs around objects with a medium and high risk of impact on the environment.
