22 November 2022, 10:0 3278

The 3rd copper beneficiation plant is being built on the basis of the "Yoshlik-1 investment project".

The construction of the 3rd MBF under the condition of "handover" is being carried out by the consortium "UZTM-Karteks" (Russia) and "Enter Engineering".

The company "Wood" (Italy) was involved in the design work, "Technip Energies" (Great Britain) was involved in the verification and acceptance of project documents, and "Worley Parsons Uzbekistan Engineering" was involved in the technical supervision of the construction.

In order to speed up the construction works, the "Enter Engineering" company built a factory for the production of metal constructions near the construction site and put it into operation in May of this year.

To date, 9.0 million cubic meters (90 percent) of earthwork and 115.7 thousand cubic meters (20 percent) of concrete work have been completed on the construction site.

Wood produced 3,781 of the 14,328 working papers required for the project.

"UZTM-Karteks" has delivered 3 large crushing equipment and hydrostatic bearings of 4 mills to the construction site, and assembly work is being carried out. Currently, more than 2,100 builders and 322 special equipment have been involved in the construction work.

5.3 million m3 (35 percent) of earthworks for the construction of the dam foundation and 0.7 million m3 (37 percent) of the tailings storage tank were completed in the tailings storage facility. 146 special equipments were involved in these works.

190 out of 664 working documents were developed by "UzgeorangmetLITI" project institute.

Work is being carried out on the approved external water supply scheme of the 3rd MBF to provide the technological student with technical water. 712 hectares of land necessary for water supply systems of facilities were allocated from Piskent and Ohangaron districts.

24 (total 114) wells were drilled in the "Korakhitoy" underground water basin. Currently, "Uzbekhydrogeology" DUK is carrying out prospecting works to confirm water reserves and has given conclusions. 415 out of a total of 1,810 working documents were developed by the "UzgeorangmetLITI" institute.

For the construction of water supply facilities, 48 wells will be drilled in the underground water intake facilities (39 in "Korakhitoy" and 9 in "Kultepa"), the "Korakhitoy" underground water intake facility and the 2nd pumping station "Kultepa" will be drilled. the construction of the main water pipeline will continue.

According to the plan, the external water supply facilities of the 3rd MBF will be commissioned in September 2023.

Packages of working documents for the construction of the 3rd MBF are being released regularly. Drawings of foundations for equipment are provided.

The 3rd MBF industrial park includes large crushed ore storage (SKDR), small crushed ore storage (SMDR), medium crushing housing (KSD), small crushing housing (KMD), flotation and dewatering housing, hydrometallurgical shop, repair and mechanics includes workshop plot, administrative-household complex and other facilities.

Today, concrete preparation and concreting works on the protection walls under the large crushed ore storage (60 m and 26 m) have been completed. Concrete preparation works of walls No. 2a, 5, 7 and 13 have been completed. Currently, strengthening and concreting works are being carried out. Concreting works of the floor, walls, covering plates, evacuation exits and conveyor ramps have been completed at the SKDR facility.

Concreting of the foundation of the crushers of the medium crushing body, as well as concrete preparation and concreting of the foundation of the tertiary crushers, concrete preparation of the tunnel of the fine crushing body has been completed.

Concreting works on the foundations of the ball mills of the ore preparation building have been completed, and concrete work on the construction of the walls of the mill foundations is underway. Phase 1 of 3 works on the installation of concrete preparation of the foundation of the equipment for the flotation case has been completed.

The launch is planned for the end of 2023. At the moment, the installation of equipment for KSD cone crushers, the installation of foundations for the equipment of KMD tertiary crushers is in progress.

In order to reduce the impact of the human factor, all technological processes of the new processing plant will be automated. Automation of technological processes is provided by modern software infrastructure. Suppliers of key technological equipment and technical solutions have also been selected.

The German company "AUMUND Fordetechnik GmbH" provides production of plate feeders for KSG. OOO UK "UZTM-KARTEKS" (Russia) will continue to manufacture and supply cone crushers. "ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solution AG" company (Germany) manufactures main conveyors and high-pressure crushing rolls "HPGR".

The supply of fully automated pumping and hydrocyclone units and drainage pumps is provided by Vair Turkiya Mineralleri Limited Sirketi of Turkey. Vibrating sieves are made by the companies "Kwatani" and "Pneumash" (South Africa and Russia). Gravitational concentrators are produced by "Sepro Minerals-Falcon" (Serbia), flotation, thickening and filtering equipment - "Metso Outotec" (Finland). An agreement was signed with the company "Gears" (Australia) on the supply of perefutering machines.

Metal poles of 10 km of 500 kV power line were completely installed by the joint venture "Uzhelektroapparat-Electroshield" for the construction of power supply facilities, and 7.5 km of wire was laid.

Also, 95% of the construction and installation work on the 500 kV digital substation, and 97% of the delivery of the main equipment have been completed.

A number of works are expected to be carried out in the future.

Cyclic flow technologies (SPT) are used for the first time by the Complex and ensure the transportation of ore from the Yoshlik-1 mine aboard two conveyors to a large crushed ore warehouse.

When choosing this technology, safety, convenience and ease of use were taken into account, as well as the ability to obtain a stable high volume of refined products in order to achieve high sorting of valuable components from ores.

At the beginning of November, the development of working documents in engineering sectors was completed. Design works on reinforced concrete structures for primary crushing and metal structures (CM) in the conveyor system have been completed. A total of 400 sets of working documents were received.

Excavation and drilling are currently being actively carried out under the project. Construction and assembly works on the foundation part of the conveyor case have started. Preparation of foundations for the main conveyor has begun.

Currently, by the end of the year, the design and ground works for the construction of the "SPT-poroda" will be fully completed, and the foundation construction will begin.

The ground work on the first section of the crushing-loading section and the construction of 2 conveyor systems with a length of 4.2 km at the "SPT-ma'dan" facility will be completed in December this year, and foundation construction will begin. "UZTM-Karteks" will deliver 2 pieces of medium crushing equipment in November-December of this year and 3 pieces of medium crushing equipment until March 2023.

By the end of the year, medium crushing equipment foundation 100% and building foundation 11%, small crushing equipment foundation 100% and building foundation 7%, ore preparation equipment foundation 97% and building foundation 6%, No. 2 and 5 foundation 100% of walls, 15% of foundation of flotation equipment, 8% of foundation of dry screening building and tunnel, installation of metal structure in large ore storage facility will begin.

By the end of this year, the excavation of the foundation of the dam will be completed, the compaction of the foundation of the dam will be continued, and the construction of the dam will begin.

In December of this year, the construction and installation of the 2.5 km section of the 500 kV overhead power line and the installation of equipment at the 500 kV digital substation will be completed.
