It is no secret that a highly qualified, promising specialist plays an important role in the development of any enterprise. There is a great demand in the labor market for professionals. And the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is also interested in attracting highly educated, creatively thinking specialists to its ranks.
In order to form a personnel reserve and meet the needs for highly qualified specialists, AMMC is establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with universities in our country and abroad. Including with the Almalyk branch of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “National Research Technological University “MISA”, a considerable number of graduates of which today work in various departments of the plant.
To successfully integrate science and production, improve the quality of the educational process, another excursion to the plant’s divisions was organized for 4th year students of the Department of Automation of Technological Production Processes of the Almalyk branch of NRTU “MISA”.
Students of the branch, accompanied by Feruza Khamidova, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Economics, Finance and Transformation of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, visited the workshops of the central repair and mechanical plant, the industrial railway transport department and the technological transport department.
Leading AMMC specialists introduced the children to the history of production development, innovations being introduced into technological processes, as well as the role of automation in improving, increasing volumes and improving the quality of products produced by the plant.
The first point of the educational excursion program was the central repair and mechanical plant, created for the production of spare parts, repair of equipment components, vehicles and special equipment, restoration and production of parts with subsequent machining, production of steel, cast iron and non-ferrous castings, production of welded metal structures and non-standard equipment and others works for the repair and maintenance needs of the mining and metallurgical plant. The Central Mechanical Repair Plant is also the main executor of the Localization Program at the AMMC.
Then NRTU “MISA” students got acquainted with the activities of the production coordination service and logistics of the railway workshop No. 3 of the industrial railway transport department.
It was noted that the main tasks of the Production Railway Transport Department team are the transportation of ore mined at the “Kalmakyr” and “Sary-Cheku” mines to processing plants, as well as the transportation of overburden rocks from the “Kalmakyr” and “Yoshlik I” quarries. In addition, Production Railway Transport Department employees are responsible for the transportation of national economic goods arriving at the plant and sent from the AMMC by rail, as well as other technological transportation of goods to factories and plants. In February 2022, the technological process automation control systems service began its work in Production Railway Transport Department, actively introducing digitalization into the transport industry.
The staff of railway workshop No. 3 is responsible for maintaining railway transport in proper order. Here, routine preventive examination and “treatment” of traction units and diesel locomotives, track and tractor equipment are carried out, as well as the production of spare parts.
The final point of the excursion program was the department of technological transport, which has technological transport and road construction machinery on its balance sheet: “BelAZ” dump trucks, sprinkler equipment, tracked and wheeled bulldozers, motor graders, front loaders, etc. heavy duty mining dump trucks and road construction equipment.
The guys attended a training class and tried their hand at driving a “BelAZ” dump truck using a special simulator. We also got acquainted with the activities of the production coordination department.
Such field trips of university students to AMMC help to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with universities in our country and abroad, which has a positive effect on the formation of a personnel reserve and meeting the needs for highly qualified specialists.
