AMMC: new jobs will be created at the “Ingichka” concentrating plant

23 February 2024, 9:46 1218

Currently, the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex is implementing the second stage of the project to process more than 19.0 million tons of industrial waste from the “Ingichka” deposit located in the Samarkand region.

As part of the second stage, the annual extraction of tungsten concentrate from the field's technogenic waste will reach 185 tons. It is worth noting that as a result of the implementation of this project, new jobs will be created in the region.

The production of 43.2 tons of tungsten billets from tungsten concentrate and the export of new types of products worth $3.6 million will also be established.

Currently, working documentation for this project is being developed. The cost estimate documentation for construction and repair work is being prepared. 9 types of process equipment in the quantity of 43 units were purchased.

As part of the detailed design, the reconstruction works are underway on the territory of the “Ingichka Experimental and Technological Expedition”. As a result of the implementation of the second stage, another concentrating plant will begin operating on the territory of the “Ingichka Experimental-Technological Expedition”.

For reference: The Ingichka concentrating plant, commissioned in 2022 as part of the first stage of the project, is fully automated. In the same year, the AMMC specialists were the first in our country to develop and implement the technology for processing tungsten-containing industrial waste from the Ingichka deposit on an industrial scale. As a result of the launch of the concentrating plant, 82 new jobs were created and investments in the amount of 0.4 million US dollars were used at the expense of the plant’s own funds. As a result of the introduction of technology for processing tungsten-containing industrial waste, 100 tons (on average 28% WO3) of tungsten concentrate worth 5.7 billion UZS were produced in 2023. In addition, 27 tons of tungsten rods were produced for export for $1.8 million.

As part of the Localization Program, 36 tons of tungsten-containing composite products from hard alloys were produced for 27.9 billion UZS.
