New stages of cooperation between AMMC and Germany

15 September 2023, 14:25 1263

On September 14, our country hosted the Day of the German Economy in Uzbekistan.

On September 15, an economic delegation from Germany led by the head of foreign economic activity and member of the board of directors of the Federal Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Germany (FOTCI) Volker Traier visited the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The delegation included members of the FOTCI and representatives of large companies, in particular, Falk Porsche Technik GmbH, Kabel AG (DKG), Schneider Group, DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, GP Günter Papenburg AG and others.

During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the exhibits of the AMMC museum, located in the Metallurg Palace of Culture, and visited the Kalmakyr mine and the central mechanical repair Complex, where they became familiar with the technological processes of these industries.

“The number of FOTCI representative offices is very large,” shared Volker Traier. -We have more than 3 million members in Germany and we always support them. In addition, we have offices in 93 countries with more than 3,000 joint ventures.

The purpose of our visit to AMMC, which is a large industrial enterprise in Uzbekistan, is to establish cooperation. As you know, big changes are happening in Germany today. In particular, there is a lot of talk about the transition to “green energy”. Today we must use modern technology instead of traditional engines for trains and cars.

But we need resources to use these technologies. Unfortunately, we do not have them. The demand for copper and rare metals in Germany is very high. For this reason, we want to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries, including Uzbekistan, in particular, with the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. Your resources are in great demand in the world today. Considering the price on the market, they can bring a lot of money to Uzbekistan.

One of the topics that will be of interest to your country is new modern equipment with high efficiency. We are also ready to train service personnel to operate it. AMMC has a great future, and this is obvious.

For reference: mutually beneficial cooperation is already underway between AMMC and a number of leading German companies. In particular, in Chirchik, Almalyk MMC JSC, together with Falk-Porsche-Technik GmbH, created the joint venture Deutsche IT-AMMC. In addition, cooperation has been established on training with the Mining Academy of the Technical University of Freiberg and the GP Gunter Papenburg AG concern.

Let us recall that in May of this year, contracts worth more than 1.4 billion euros were signed between AMMC and German companies.
