AMMC and English companies cooperate.

As you know, the next meeting of the Uzbek-British Council for Trade and Industry (UBTIC) was held on June 7, 2022 in Tashkent.

Also a delegation headed by Mike Freer, Minister of International Trade of the United Kingdom took part in it.

It is worth noting that Mike Freer, the Minister of International Trade of the United Kingdom, Stephen Anderson, the Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy, Juliana Reed, the Minister's Secretary, Komila Hamidova, the Commercial Counselor of the British Embassy, Tom Attenborough, the Head of the International Business Development Department of the London Stock Exchange, and the UK Export Finance A meeting was organized between the delegation of the credit agency and Standard Chartered bank employee Ozgur Kutai, and the management of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Within the framework of the meeting, information was provided about the activities of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex, as well as the ongoing major investment and future projects, and the work carried out in the direction of the transformation of the complex.

In his turn, Mike Freer, the Minister of International Trade of Great Britain, emphasized that Great Britain aims to strengthen economic relations with Uzbekistan, for this he visited with a delegation and introduced a new state responsible for trade relations at the embassy. 

In particular, the formation of a good experience in the field of mining and metallurgy in Britain, participation in the design of a copper enrichment factory and a metallurgical plant, the attraction of the existing 2.5 billion pounds preferential export credit to Uzbekistan, including joint venture projects (at least 20 percent of the funds are for goods and services purchased from Britain it was emphasized to establish cooperation with UK Export Finance credit agency and Standard Chartered Bank in attracting credit. Also discussed were 20 percent of all mining and metallurgical companies trading their securities on the London Stock Exchange.  

At the meeting, it was noted that English companies and consultants will be involved in order to accelerate cooperation with Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Mr. Mike Freer also said that he will visit the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex in the future.
