In 2024, a significant amount of work was completed at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.
In particular, work was completed on coordinating the information security policy and its documents to the international standard ISO/IEC 27000, 27 documents were developed.
The information security department prepared documents, organized training seminars for employees of the structural divisions of the enterprise.
As part of the control and monitoring system for privileged users (PAM – Privileged Access Management), using special software a system for auditing the actions of users (administrators) working in the information systems and resources of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, and a system for protecting against unauthorized access were organized.
Currently, an automated system for operational planning of underground mining operations is being implemented. Software licenses are being installed, work is underway to build operational models and integrate with the laboratory information system. As a result, it will be possible to compile and analyze long-term, medium-term and short-term planning of mining operations of the Angren Mining Department, report on the volumes of ore mined and graphic dynamics of the use of mining equipment. It is expected that operating costs will decrease by 2%, and labor productivity will increase by 5%.
Laboratory information management system (LIMS) has been implemented, a single information space has been created between the Kalmakyr Mine Department and the central analytical laboratory for registering all test samples and electronically generating records of results (analysis). Thanks to this system, the delivery time of sample results is reduced, 20 types of paper reports are digitized.
The mnemonic diagrams (SCADA) of the copper smelter and copper processing plant were completely transferred to the new system and the ability to analyze data from additional technological processes was obtained.
At the copper processing plant-2, 4 laser sensors and 4 modern scales were installed to distribute ore levels in the bunkers, which made it possible to control the cart online and supply the mill bunkers with ore evenly.
As part of the modernization of high-tech equipment of the automated process control system at the Khandiza processing plant, control cabinets (4 units), control and measuring devices (250 units) and controllers (Siemens) will be completely updated, the software for which will be created by the AMMC production automation department.
A number of information systems have been launched. These are Electronic Journals, Green Edge, Risk Management, Monitoring the Fulfillment of Assigned Tasks, Registration of Citizens' Appeals, and Operational and Production Reporting.
For online data analysis and analytical reports, the Interactive Dashboards (Power BI) system has been implemented.
In order to improve information security, as a result of the implementation of the network access control system (NAC) in the corporate network, centralized control of all users and devices (more than 5,000) has been established.
As part of the modernization of the data transmission network, 14 km of communication cables were laid in the central office, 12 control switches were installed and configured. As a result, the data exchange rate has increased 10 times and network security has been ensured.
As part of the mining transport management system at the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines, 8 server devices have been installed in the data processing center, and the data storage capacity has been increased to 290 TB.
The central office data transmission network has been completely modernized, the 1C:ERP (Performance) information system has been improved, and the stability of operation has been increased by 3 times.
As part of the project to organize an engineering school, training programs and manuals have been developed for training automation specialists. Currently, short-term training for MOF, MOF-2, copper smelter, Automobile Transport Department programmers on how to work in Siemens and AVEVA (Schneider Electric) automation systems has been organized.
Also, 4 training stands have been installed at the copper smelter. This allows copper complex specialists to quickly master both theoretical and practical skills in managing technological processes.
The copper smelter has 15 Gaussmeter devices installed, which allow detecting short circuits and taking prompt measures. Thanks to the prompt detection of short circuits, a 5% reduction in the time required to produce cathode copper has been achieved.
A mining transport management system is being implemented at the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines. In particular, 107 dump trucks, 47 excavators, 26 units of drilling equipment, 147 units of auxiliary equipment are equipped with special technical equipment (tablets, GPS and GLONASS trackers and sensors). This made it possible to organize the collection and processing of data online.
A system for the operational management of excavators and dump trucks has been put into operation at the Yoshlik I mine. It is worth noting that the system automatically determines the route direction for dump trucks. Electronic planning of drilling operations and sending drilling equipment to a tablet, as well as an online system for monitoring work performed according to plan, have been launched on four pieces of equipment, and adjustment work is being carried out. To carry out prompt surveying work at the mines, 2 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) were put into operation, and the qualifications of specialists in the use of these devices were improved. It is expected that as a result of the full launch of the project, the volume of rock transportation will increase to 10%.
The programmers of the production automation department created the information system "ARM EnRC" designed for the repair of electric motors. This information system will allow digitizing 7,000 paper repair orders, analyzing 7,000 engines annually, and also optimizing the repair time by 2 times.
The automated system of operational dispatch control ("ASODC"), implemented at the copper smelter, improves process management, allowing you to monitor equipment, emergency situations and keep records of energy resources. The system displays data in real time, archives it and helps make quick decisions. The implementation of ASODC reduces equipment downtime by 40%, improves process control by 80%, increases safety by 10% and saves energy.
At the copper processing plant, installation and adjustment works were carried out on the centrifugal concentrator (Knelson XD20), the software for which was developed by programmers of the process automation management service based on a special algorithm. This complex will increase the concentration level of minerals by 90%.
In order to develop artificial intelligence systems at the AMMC, the functionality of monitoring the size of ore, excavator bucket teeth and driver fatigue was launched as part of the mining transport management system at the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines.
A pilot project of video analytical machine surveillance is being implemented at the copper processing plant, which will be used in the ore enrichment process. As a result, stabilization of metal extraction and optimization of the relative consumption of reagents by 2% will be achieved.
In 2025, a number of digitalization works are planned to be implemented. In particular, as part of the automation of business and production processes, optimization of management at AMMC, a portfolio consisting of more than 30 projects and initiatives has been developed. Including 12 projects planned for automation and modernization of production, 7 for the development of IT infrastructure and communications, 7 for the development of information resources and systems, 4 for corporate and information security.
