An effective mechanism of science and production integration has been established at the Almalyk mining and metallurgical Complex. As a result of the research and research carried out by the scientists and specialists of the Complex, new types of products are obtained every year. Yesterday, a new type of composite alloys (metal-ceramics) products was mastered at the scientific production association of the Complex located in Chirchik. These alloys are used to make sliding bearings.
For this purpose, a section for the production of composite alloys based on iron powder and molybdenum carbide was also established in the association.
Today, these two types of products are produced - an alloy based on molybdenum carbide (intended for work on pumps in water) and an alloy based on iron powder (intended for pumps and other aggregates with oil lubricants).
Bearing samples made of molybdenum carbide-based alloy are used today in the process of molybdenum production in joining shops. Also, the prepared samples were sent to the Issyklik power center of the Complex for testing.
The advantage of the bearings manufactured by the union is that they last a long time and it is important that they are easy to manufacture in-house.
For example, the service life of a ball bearing that is always used does not exceed 1 month, while the service life of a sliding bearing based on molybdenum carbide offered by the association is said to be more than two months.
It is worth noting that the average need of this bearing in 1 year is 1500 units, and the price of 1 bearing is 639,000 soums. The price of 1 piece of ball bearing with original parts is 954,500 soums. Comparing the price of these two bearings, the Complexd company will save an average of 473 million soums in 1 year.
As a result of this innovation, the union will produce 15.289 billion soums worth of products per year.
