Owing to the creative and innovative activities of specialists at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, new technologies and processes are being created and existing ones are being improved.

Proposals to reduce the cost of production make it possible to achieve significant economic efficiency. In particular, the innovative proposal for the production of an "insulating bush" put forward by specialists of the Industrial Railway Transport Department Ibrohim Akramov, Erkin Akbaraliev, Hayot Adilov and Temurmalik Khalilov can be served as an example.

For information: the insulating bush ЦП142 is designed for electrical insulation of a bolt in the rail brace of a railway track. It is an insulating element of M22x175 embedded bolts in separate KB rail braces.

An insulating bush is used in railway track structures. The product is part of the separate intermediate brace KB-65, KB-50 on reinforced concrete crossties and serves as electrical insulation of embedded bolts from the rail brace unit.

The bush is capable of withstanding various types of loads and is made of a frost-resistant polyamide composition. Owing to the special design of the bush which eliminates stress risers and ensures reliable operation of bushes on metal linings from different manufacturers. The bush is also used during scheduled and major repairs of railways.

The urgency of this innovative proposal is due to the fact that today the demand for this part is high, and it is purchased from abroad for foreign currency.

It is considered that the reuse of insulating bushes is impractical. However, due to the shortage of this product, it has to be reused. And this, in turn, can negatively affect the service life of other railway materials.

Specialists of the Industrial Railway Transport Department produce insulating bushes made of polyethylene (pellets) at the preproduction section of the railway workshop No. 3. The implementation of this innovative proposal will reduce the railway repair costs and ensure timely completion of scheduled repairs.

In February of this year, 2,000 insulating bushes were produced for testing. The spare parts were tested successfully, and therefore another 2,000 units had been manufactured and put into operation in March. Organization of continuous production of this product is currently underway.

Today, the price of one insulating bush ЦП142 is on average 6,969 UZS. The production cost of polyethylene bushes manufactured in the railway workshop-3 is 5,264 UZS. Considering that the annual demand of AMMC for this part averages 57,000 units, owing to the innovative proposal of specialists of Industrial Railway Transport Department, 97,185,000 UZS per year will be saved.
