On October 15, 2024, at a meeting of the head of state on the development of the Tashkent region, it was noted that in order to further increase the share of Angren, Almalyk and Akhangaran, as well as the Pskent and Akhangaran districts in the region's industry, as well as reduce the volume of imports of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex in these regions, it is necessary to launch new projects. It was emphasized that in order to implement these projects and organize production on a cooperative and cluster basis, a completely new system is needed - the "Industrial Triangle".

In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set at this meeting, from November 19 to 22 of this year, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex organized an industrial fair of imported products within the framework of the Industrial Triangle program.

The industrial fair presented more than 2,000 types of goods purchased and used by the plant in production. In particular, the exhibition of structural divisions presented chemical reagents, rolled metal products, spare parts for mining equipment, pump and electric motor, mechanical and energy products, as well as components and spare parts for other types of equipment.

Mainly local producers from neighboring cities and regions were invited to the industrial fair; negotiations were held with representatives of about 80 enterprises.

During the event, the plant's specialists presented the fair participants with all the necessary information about imported products, technical parameters, annual requirements, etc. In addition, in accordance with the requirements of individual enterprises, excursions were organized to the plant's structural divisions to familiarize themselves with large types of equipment and components.

Following the industrial fair, new projects for the production of import-substituting products were developed with 33 enterprises for a total of 75.7 million US dollars, measures were approved to establish cooperation with 20 enterprises and make purchases for 103.4 billion soums.

In particular, new projects worth 27,072.6 thousand US dollars were developed and corresponding memorandums were signed with 17 enterprises that are part of the Industrial Triangle and have the capacity to produce import-substituting products that were not previously produced in our country.

In order to reduce import volumes, memorandums on the production of import-substituting products worth 48,658.6 thousand US dollars were signed with 16 domestic enterprises from other cities, districts and regions of our republic.

In addition, measures were developed to purchase products worth a total of 103.4 billion soums by establishing partnerships with 20 enterprises included in the Industrial Triangle.

Within the framework of this program, 25 enterprises were “taken in tow”, and measures were outlined to establish cooperation and develop the production of import-substituting products in 2025.

The main goal of this fair was to expand cooperation ties by "taking in tow domestic producers located in 5 cities and districts of the Tashkent region, within the framework of the Industrial Triangle program." Also, one of the objectives of this event was to create new jobs and reduce the volume of imports of the plant.
