Advisory council on women and gender equality

On July 5, the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality of the complex, established pursuant to the order of the Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC dated October 6, 2023 “On the establishment of an advisory council on equal rights and opportunities for women and men”, summed up the work for the first half of the year.

The reporting meeting was attended by the chairmen of the advisory councils on women and gender equality of the structural divisions of the complex.

Kamola Umaralieva, Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council, made a report on the work done for 6 months of this year. t was noted that currently 8,117 women work at AMMC in various positions. 1,070 occupy high-ranking positions in the divisions of the complex, 158 - in the management system.

Shokhida Mamadalieva, an employee of the Department of Industrial Railway Transport, and Sayora Kuchkarova, an employee of the Zinc Plant, were rewarded with government awards by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nargiza Atakulova, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, won the Republican scientific competition and became the owner of a grant.

The AMMC women’s team became the winner of “The most creative team” nomination at the Republican Gymnaestrada Festival, held under the slogan “Sport is a source of elegance and health.”

At the initiative of the advisory council every Thursday is declared “Women’s Sports Day” in order to promote a healthy lifestyle among women. Various sports events were organized among women under the slogans “Love sports, live by sports”“Sport is the key to health”.

Also, many different projects with the participation of working women were organized in order to implement reforms carried out in our country, aimed at creating a healthy ideology, honest work, preventing crime and delinquency among women, combating violence, preventing divorce in families and other various issues.

Including such events as “100 persistent women”“A sound ideology shapes a prosperous society”“My happy family”“Educated women are the founders of the well-being of the family and society”“For a green life!”“One book from each employee”“Month of National Values”“I’m proud of my child!” etc.

The Advisory Board conducted various social surveys and studies. A specially created Telegram group accepted online appeals from women. A system of rapid response and legal regulation of emerging issues has been created.

In addition, it was noted that the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality is also implementing a project aimed at supporting socially vulnerable families.

10 working women of the complex with a 5-year work experience received a recommendation to a higher education institution.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that each chairman of the Advisory Councils of AMMC divisions shall be the initiator and active promoter of activities aimed at creating equal conditions for men and women.

Also, during the meeting, the work plan for the second half of the year was discussed, priority tasks aimed at strengthening social policy, increasing political and legal literacy of AMMC employees were highlighted.
