Dear colleagues, our mothers, sisters, spouses!

A beautiful spring has come to our country, filling human hearts with gratitude, joy, and love of life. It is no coincidence that this time of renewal of nature begins with the celebration of our dear mothers, sisters, and companions in life. For when it comes to kindness and love, to generosity and beauty, we see the face of our dearest women.

Life is beautiful and meaningful thanks to our women, who without exaggeration are symbols of peace, loyalty, tenderness and at the same time strength and resilience, and our families are reliable homefront with a cozy and warm family hearth.

The role of women in the modern world cannot be overestimated, and therefore in our country great attention is given to her health, formation, providing new opportunities for active participation in public life. This is evidenced by the meeting held on March 1 under the chairmanship of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on further improvement of the system of support for women and further strengthening of their status in society, where wide-ranging measures to support them were identified. For example, measures for women’s education are developed, the “Business Women” program is initiated, the procedure of payment by state of maternity benefits to women working in the private sector was introduced, and many other things that will ensure the lives of our women at a qualitatively new level have been developed.

I would like to note with satisfaction that today over 8 thousand women have been working at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex shoulder to shoulder with men, with their selfless labor make an invaluable contribution to the realization of high tasks set before us by the state.

Mining and metallurgy are the most important industries, but they are also the most labor-intensive. The ongoing large-scale reforms and modernization in these sectors of the country require enormous knowledge, effort, and complete dedication. And we are proud of our women, who share with us the difficulties, sometimes showing real courage, are true professionals in their jobs. Talented leaders grow out of their number, which indicates the increased activity of women in the socio-political and economic life of the country, a pool of potential women leaders is formed. At present, about 1,500 women work in senior positions at the plant.

At AMMC, issues related to women’s lives and activities have always been and continue to be a priority. In order to create favorable conditions for families and children of female workers of the complex, their material and moral support, solution of their problems in 2021 in the health care centers 742 women had recovered their health, including labor veterans and non-working pensioners, in sanatoriums of Uzbekistan 186 female workers rehabilitated their health.

In Almalyk MMC JSC on the basis of 16 preschool educational organizations all conditions for health, education and preparation for school are created, which are attended by more than 3 thousand children. Almost 3,100 children of our workers had a rest in five children’s health camps of the enterprise during the summer season.

We have actively worked and will continue to work hard to improve the working conditions of women at AMMC, to support them: a happy and satisfied woman means happiness and joy in the family, a good mood and full commitment at work!

High recognition of the work carried out at the Complex to improve social conditions and health, support and meaningful organization of leisure time for women and their children was awarding of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant in the nomination “The most active state organization in ensuring gender equality” of the national contest “Gender Equality Activist”, organized by the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on Women and Gender Equality.

On the eve of the holiday the management of Almalyk MMC JSC decided to pay a bonus of 700 thousand UZ Soums to all the female workers of the plant, as well as material assistance to the participants of the war and labor front. And this is further evidence of the attention and high recognition of the merits of our women.

In the age of rapidly and dynamically changing world, in the period of implementation of considerable reforms for the construction of New Uzbekistan, the team of Almalyk MMC JSC is facing great challenges. It would be no exaggeration to say that you take an active part and occupy a special place in this complex process aimed at securing our future, in the implementation of all our noble undertakings, in the consistent implementation of the just social policy pursued by the Head of State.

I can say with confidence that our friendly, close-knit team of many thousands of professionals, in which you - our colleagues - are equal members, will fulfill our tasks with honor: the launch of new production facilities, implementation of the latest technologies, which will allow AMMC to take a worthy place in the world market.
