On November 23, 2020, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the establishment of the day of Trade unions of Uzbekistan” was adopted, which established November 11 as the day of Trade Unions.
Currently, the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan includes 14 industry trade unions, more than 35 thousand primary organizations, numbering more than 6.1 million people in their ranks, including about 3 million women and more than 2 million young people under 30 years of age. The Trade Union Council of the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex, which is an integral part of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, currently employs about 55 thousand people.
Also, every second Sunday of November, Uzbekistan celebrates the day of Medical workers.
On the eve of the Day of Trade unions and the day of Medical workers of Uzbekistan, on November 8, AMMC organized a festive event for representatives of trade union committees and medical workers of the Complex.
The celebration brought together veterans, trade union activists, doctors and nurses at a generously laid festive dastarkhan. The chairman of the Board of JSC Almalyk MMC Abdulla Khursanov congratulated everyone gathered on the professional holiday, noting the conscientious approach of trade union representatives to their work and the constant protection of the social interests of workers, their active participation in socio-economic reforms, initiatives to protect the rights and interests of women workers, youth, children, and their contribution to improving cultural and educational life. He also emphasized that the efforts of medical workers are not only about treating and caring for patients, but also about saving human lives every day, ensuring public health safety and unwavering adherence to the oath and duty to society.
During the event, a group of medical workers and activists of the trade union committees of Complex were awarded with certificates of honor and memorable gifts.
The festive atmosphere was created by a concert program prepared by amateur art groups of the “Metallurg” palace of culture.
