Today, at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, an “Open Doors” event was held as part of the anti-corruption month dedicated to December 9 – International Anti-Corruption Day.

The event brought together key figures, including Abduhakim Eshmurodov, Chair of the Senate Committee on Judicial Affairs and Anti-Corruption; Aziza Aminova, Member of the Legislative Chamber and the Committee on Judicial Reform and Anti-Corruption; Sharif Kobilov, Colonel and Professor at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; Sadi Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of AMMC for Personnel and Social Affairs; representatives of compliance services, judicial and law enforcement agencies; as well as community members.

Speakers provided detailed updates on the measures undertaken nationwide and within the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex to combat corruption.

As part of the anti-corruption month, employees of the compex participated in competitions on topics such as “Best Article,” “Best Poem,” “Best Drawing,” “Best Video,” and “Best Presentation.” Winners of the “Zakovat” intellectual games and mini-football tournaments were also awarded cash prizes for their achievements.

Abduhakim Eshmurodov addressed the participants, highlighting the ongoing national anti-corruption initiatives and the legal framework supporting them. He emphasized the necessity of combating even seemingly minor forms of everyday corruption.

The event also featured performances by the artistic teams of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, which were warmly received by attendees.

The anti-corruption month, conducted under the slogan “Fighting Corruption is a National Duty, the Conscience of Every Patriotic Citizen,” has included a wide range of activities across AMMC’s central office and subsidiaries. These initiatives aim to prevent all forms of corruption, ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in the combine’s operations, and foster a zero-tolerance culture toward corruption among over 35,000 employees across more than fifty factories, plants, and workshops.

Additionally, the month-long program includes comprehensive preventive measures, training seminars, open discussions, competitions, sports events, and informational campaigns designed to strengthen employees’ resilience against corrupt practices and promote ethical behavior at all levels of the complex.
