Today at the sports complex of AMMC the ceremony of awarding the winners of the current season of Uzbekistan Handball Championship among the teams of the Major League was held.

During the event the Chairman of the Trade Union Council of AMMC employees Abdurashid Khaydarov heartily congratulated the winners of the competition, noting the achievement of our athletes and the attention paid to sports at the Complex.

Then the awarding ceremony was held for the winners of the teams of the Major League of Uzbekistan Women’s Championship. This season, the Tashkent team has won. Our women’s handball team under the leadership of coach Vladimir Muminov with 33 points took an honorable second place in the championship and won silver medals. Athletes from Samarkand took third place.

The men’s team under the leadership of coach Khasan Kayumov scored 48 points this season and already for the eighth time confirmed the champion’s title of our country. Handball players from Tashkent and Khorezm took second and third places.

All athletes were awarded medals and valuable gifts.

For reference: handball players of AMMC are 9-time gold medalists of the Uzbekistan Cup, 8-time gold medalists of the Uzbekistan Independence Cup. Also this year they won the 50^th International Handball World Cup “Interamnia” held in Teramo, Italy.

Women handball team of AMMC are 13-time gold medalists of the Uzbekistan Cup, 13-time Country Cup winners and 11-time gold medalists of the Uzbekistan Independence Cup.
