Reconstruction of Oltin Olma Square started from the first days of the year. As reported by the acting Chief Engineer of the Olmalikmetallurgqurilish Trust Hasanali Akhmedov, based on Resolution No. 654 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 10, 2024 "On measures for the comprehensive socio-economic development of the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region for 2020-2022", TOMK employees will be engaged in the reconstruction of two significant objects of our city - Oltin Olma Square and Youth Park. Design and estimate documentation has already been prepared for this.
Currently, the trust employees are actively reconstructing Oltin Olma Square. It is planned that during the repair work, 7,200 square meters of the square's road surface will be restored and improved. To date, 800 square meters of old paving stones have already been dismantled. Completion of all work is scheduled for April 30, 2025.
The reconstruction project includes the modernization of lighting and irrigation systems, installation of new benches, gazebos and other landscaping elements. Thanks to these changes, the square and the park will be given a modern and aesthetically attractive appearance, which will become convenient and pleasant for residents and visitors of the city.
For reference: the Oltin Olma square was built on May 13, 2009 with the sponsorship of AMMC and was put into operation on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the enterprise.
